Kia Motors is instituting a recall for the Sorento and Soul models over faulty wiring harnesses. These harnesses, which are used for lighting the speakers in the Kia Soul and for interior accent illumination in the Kia Sorento have found to be improperly soldered. According to Kia, these faulty harnesses are prone to an electrical short when the lights are illuminated under certain conditions and could potentially cause a fire.
