Kia Motors is instituting a recall for the Sorento and Soul models over faulty wiring harnesses.
These harnesses, which are used for lighting the speakers in the Kia Soul and for interior accent illumination in the Kia Sorento have found to be improperly soldered.
According to Kia, these faulty harnesses are prone to an electrical short when the lights are illuminated under certain conditions and could potentially cause a fire.

Nissan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will promote zero-emission mobility in the Kingdom.
The signing of the MOU is the first partnership of its kind within the Arab region.
The MOU, which was signed by His Excellency Hazem Malhas, Jordan's Minister of Environment and Gilles Normand, Nissan's Corporate Vice President, will see both sides undertaking the promotion of electric vehicles as a sustainable mobility solution.

Ford drivers who've always wanted their GPS systems off their dashboards can now have them mounted on their rearview mirrors instead.
Ford dealers in the UK are now offering a satellite navigation unit fitted alongside the rearview mirror in an extended holder called "MirrorNavi".
Manufactured by Garmin and Wollnikom, MirrorNavi allows drivers to check their navigation and the rearview mirror at the same time.

Hyundai will premiere its new B-segment MPV, dubbed the ix20, at the Paris Motor Show on September 30.
Based on the revealed sketch, Hyundai intends to demonstrate that the ix20's design is far from the "boxy" style associated with most MPVs.

Skoda has won the IRC Manufacturer's title after an all-Skoda podium finish at the Czech Rally which took place last week.
The title win was even sweeter as it was clinched with all three facelifted Fabia S2000 rally cars coming in 1-2-3.

Ferrari has instituted a recall for the 458 Italia over a spate of fires.
The fires which were reported worldwide have been traced by Ferrari to an adhesive used to bond a heat shield under the car's rear fender.
During their investigation, Ferrari found that this adhesive ignited under high temperatures. The resulting fire would then turn into a larger fire within the engine bay itself.

American carmaker Chevrolet has confirmed that it will begin production of the much-anticipated Volt on November 11.
